Former Shrewsbury striker Richard Walker has backed them to make the League Two play-offs for the second season running.
Burton's Walker spent last season on loan with Paul Simpson's side and saw them make it through to the play-off final where they lost to Gillingham.
He told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I expect them to make the play-offs more comfortably than they did last season.
"They've made a fairly good start, they've made some strong signings."

He added: "When we played them they looked a good side."
"Nathan Elder is a good signing, he will do well at this level. I fully expect them to be up there, they will be a force this season."
