AFC Telford United manager Rob Smith hopes an FA Cup victory against Pegasus Juniors will kick-start their season and launch a cup run.
Smith is hoping for another long run after the Bucks reached the first round last season, only to be knocked out by Southend following a Roots Hall replay.
"It's a welcome distraction, we enjoyed it last year," Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"We're desperate for another good run in the FA Cup."
Smith added: "We've got a home draw, we can't ask for anything more. It's one we're expected to win and we're really looking forward to it."
Telford play Hereford-based Pegasus Juniors in the second qualifying round with striker Danny Carey-Bertram expected to come back into the squad. Stuart Nicholson and Gavin Hurren, on loan from Tamworth, have been denied permission to play.
Pegasus have beaten Willenhall Town and Hednesford in previous rounds to book their tie against Telford.
"If they win 4-1 at Hednesford, they're capable of turning it on, on the day," Smith added.
