Banbury United's players have yet to gel at the start of the campaign, according to manager Billy Jeffrey.
The Puritans failed to win any of their opening three fixtures in the Southern League Premier, and Jeffrey says they still need to find their feet.
"We still have a lot of work to do, obviously we are a very young side," he told BBC Oxford.
"The other thing is that we have had players coming in from lower levels, it will take a bit of time."
He added: "Our defending has still got a bit to be desired at times, but I am looking to strengthen in that area if I can."
