Workington Reds have signed Carlisle United defender Tom Aldred on a month-long loan.
Aldred, 19, will link up with the Reds after United's reserve match against Blackpool on Monday and United boss Greg Abbott is happy with the move.
"Darren (Edmondson) always looks after our players and some proper football will do Tom good," Abbott told the Carlisle United website.
"Tom needs regular football and we don't have too many reserve games."
Aldred is a Scotland under-19 international and signed professional terms with the club in December 2008.
