Truro City started life in Southern League Premier Division with victory away from home at Bedford.
City's goals came in the second period from Joe Broad and Andy Taylor as Sean McCarthy's side made the transition to their new league look simple.
There were debuts for summer signings Santos Gaia and Les Afful, who are both former Exeter City players.
The White Tigers now return to Treyew Road for a match against Merthyr Tydfil on Tuesday.
