Boston United have signed former Alfreton Town striker Danny Davidson.
They beat off competition from Matlock Town, where the six foot five 29-year-old played on loan last season, to make him their 14th summer signing.
While Boston have added Davidson to their squad, they have lost winger Tyrone Kirk to League Two Macclesfield.
Joint manager Rob Scott confirmed that there was a clause in Kirk's contract allowing him to move to a professional club before the start of the season.
Scott told the Pilgrims website: "We have had contingency plans in place for a while and will now bring in a replacement as soon as possible.
"As for Danny, he is another good acquisition who adds a different dimension to our attack.
"He's a big presence and will hopefully cause opposing defences a number of problems this season."
