AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith is confident he will sign two new players in the next week.
The beaten Blue Square North play-off finalists have signed winger Steve Torpey from Stalybridge Celtic and made Phil Trainer's deal permanent.
Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We've had really positive talks, I hope to have the strongest squad I've ever had.
"I'd be disappointed if we didn't have two new signings if not three in the next week."
"We've been working on bringing in players since the end of the season. It's a smaller sized squad but it will be strong," Smith added.
Telford missed out on promotion into the Blue Square Premier after their 1-0 play-off final defeat by Gateshead.
The Bucks will have Vauxhall Motors midfielder Tom Field training with them during pre-season to have a closer look at him.
