Harrogate Town have appointed former Leeds United left-back Kevin Sharp as their assistant manager.
Sharp, 34, has recently coached at Wigan and been player-assistant coach at Northwich Victoria.
Town's manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "One of the reasons I got Kevin to come in with me is because he shares the same passion as me.
"Not only can he conduct himself well off the pitch, I think he'll really get the best out of players on it."
Weaver, who took charge of the club last month, said he had known Sharp for several years.
"I've attended several courses over the years and Kevin's been on those. He knows his stuff, football-wise, and I think he'll prove to be a fantastic acquisition.
"He knows that players who come to Harrogate now have to reach certain criteria. He's with me in everything we're trying to stand for."
The club hopes to make more announcements soon about new signings.
Weaver added: "We're well on our way. There's a couple of guys coming to sign - a midfielder and a goal keeper.
"Also two centre halves will have signed by the end of the week. I'm also in talks with a centre forward - that could be imminent as well and another midfielder."
