Phil Trainer has been ruled out of the rest of AFC Telford United's Blue Square play-off campaign after the FA turned down his red-card appeal.
Trainer was sent off in Telford's 2-0 first-leg semi-final win over Alfreton, after tussling with Matt Wilson.
The FA upheld the referee's decision, despite Telford's confidence that video evidence backed Trainer's case.
Bucks boss Rob Smith stood by his man. "I know Phil Trainer. He doesn't do that sort of thing," he said.
Trainer missed the second leg of the play-off, and is now excluded from the final.
On-loan Trainer has been released by parent club Oxford United, so may be seeking a permanent deal at Telford.
