Telford's Phil Trainer celebrates one of his two recent goals at Hinckley
Phil Trainer could be ruled out for the rest of AFC Telford's league season - but is fighting to be fit for the Blue Square North play-offs.
"He's damaged his knee ligaments, and he'll be out for a good three weeks," said assistant boss Larry Chambers.
Midfielder Trainer, aged 27, joined Telford in January, on loan from Oxford until the end of the season.
"I feel really sorry for Phil. He took a while to settle, but he's really come on strong recently," Chambers added.
Better news for Telford could see Martyn Naylor back in the side shortly.
The popular defender, who has been troubled by injury since originally fracturing his cheekbone in Telford's Fa Trophy win over Kettering at the end of January, has responded well to some concentrated rehab at the National Sports Centre.
"He's been working hard at Lilleshall, and could be back in the squad in a few days," Chambers reported to BBC Radio Shropshire - perhaps for Telford's Setanta Shield final at Forest Green on 9 April.
