Boston United have confirmed that Steve Welsh will not manage the club next season.
Welsh took charge at York Street in November after the departure of Tommy Taylor.
He guided the Pilgrims to safety in the Unibond Premier Division on the final day of the season.
Chairman David Newton told the club's website: "This has been an extremely difficult decision, but we feel this is right for the club."
He added: "We hope that Steve will continue to work within the football club and use his expertise on the youth development and education programmes."
"We will now begin a search for a new first team manager with the aim of securing Conference football at the earliest opportunity."
