Welsh has overseen the Pilgrims' rise out of the relegation zone
Boston United manager Steve Welsh says he is still upbeat despite his side being held 1-1 by Leigh on Saturday.
A late penalty cancelled out Wes Parker's first-half header, but the Pilgrims remain in 15th place in the UniBond Premier League.
Welsh told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We were in total control of the game and we [did] enough to win it by more than one goal.
"We weren't ruthless enough often enough," he added.
The Pilgrims are two points clear of the relegation zone after a good run of form and Welsh believes his team are looking more confident in their bid to stay up.
"It's disappointing, but six weeks ago we'd have bitten your hand off for a point, so maybe that shows how far we've come.
"We're in the dressing room and everyone's disappointed and that just shows you the little journey we've been on," he added.
In the Unibond First Division South, Sean Cann's 20th goal of the season gave Lincoln United a 1-0 victory over Sheffield FC, while Stamford lost 2-1 at home to Belper Town despite having led at half-time through Phil Stebbing.
Grantham Town were beaten 3-0 at the Meres by Carlton Town, and Spalding United's miserable week was capped by an 8-0 drubbing at Stocksbridge Park Steels, making it 18 goals conceded by the Tulips in their last three games.
