Gainsborough Trinity slipped to a third consecutive home defeat in Blue Square North as they lost 2-1 to Workington.
Trinity's Ryan Mallon hit the post before Anthony Wright put Workington ahead after 25 minutes.
Luke Beckett equalised within a minute but Wright's 83rd-minute free-kick gave the visitors all three points.
Trinity manager Steve Charles told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We had them on the ropes but like so many games this season we didn't finish them off."
The third straight loss at the Northolme put a further dent in Trinity's play-off hopes, with Charles all but writing them off.

He admitted: "The lads now are battling for contracts for next season. We've got to put together a stronger squad for next year."
Charles has already confirmed that Gareth Davies, Colin Marrison and Nicky Ellis will leave the club at the end of the season.
