Ten-man Hinckley United suffered a club record defeat at the hands of Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday.
A patched-up Knitters side trailed to Chris Denham's early strike.
And although keeper Chris MacKenzie saved a penalty, all hopes were dashed when Callum Lloyd saw red for two cautions five minutes after the break.
The home side then ran riot against the depleted Knitters in the final 22 minutes, scoring six times, Adam Webster replying for the visitors.
Two goals in two minutes for Lee Ellington and Steve Torpey just before the 70-minute mark ensured victory for the home side.
United, who were deprived of the services of the services of Connor Franklin, Rich Lavery, Alex Taylor and Craig McIlwain through injury, illness and suspension did get on the scoresheet through Webster.
But Celtic made their man advantage count in devastating fashion in the final 15 minutes.
Hinckley, who have slipped to 10th spot in the Blue Square North table, drew 2-2 with Harrogate on Saturday.
