Harrogate Town will be without Gavin Rothery for the near future after he had his trial at Carlisle extended.
The 21-year old midfielder played just one game for Town after being released by York City before he moved to the League One club.
Rothery has impressed for the reserves and manager Greg Abbott said: "Gavin has worked hard and we want to take a longer look at him.
"He's a good, honest lad and we have decided to delay a decision on him."
Rothery signed for Harrogate Town on New Year's Eve and played the following day against Farsley Celtic.
