Pyrah's orginal contract was due to expire at the end of the 2009 season

All-rounder Richard Pyrah has signed a contract extension at Yorkshire.

The 26-year-old has just returned from playing in New Zealand and his new deal will keep him at Headingley until the end of the 2010 season.

"I'm delighted with the deal. I think it is an exciting time for the club," said Pyrah.

"With the way things went for me last year I'm quite positive about playing in all competitions if I can start the season well."
