Yorkshire all-rounder Richard Pyrah has agreed a two-year extension to his contract with the club. The new deal ties the 24-year-old from Dewsbury to Yorkshire until the end of the 2009 season.
He has become a regular in the one-day side this summer, but also scored his maiden first-class century and wants to play regular Championship cricket.
"I see the next two seasons as a real opportunity to push my career forward," he told the club's website.
