Manager Steve Charles was pleased with his side's performance

Gainsborough Trinity ran out 3-1 winners in their Blue Square North game against Hinckley United.

Gainsborough took the lead with a goal from Lewis McMahon and Ian Ross then made it 2-0 in the first half.

Hinckley pulled one back through Rich Lavery but Luke Beckett scored a third for Trinity to make sure they took all three points.

Manager Steve Charles told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We've put in an excellent performance."

He added: "They are a good side but our lads stuck to the task in hand."

The win moves the Blues up to seventh place.
