Worcester City manager Richard Dryden says he will field several youngsters against Newport on New Year's Day.
Dryden's depleted side lost at Newport in their last Blue Square South match and he told BBC Hereford & Worcester further injuries have forced his hand.
"We've got one or two injuries so we're going to be even shorter than we were for Boxing Day," he admitted.
"But it gives one or two of the young lads from the youth team the chance to come and sit on the bench."
Among those set to miss the match is wing-back Graham Ward, who has a tight hamstring, while there are also concerns over striker Marco Adaggio.
The City boss is not keen to risk Ward as any aggravation of the injury could see him ruled out long term.
"Do you keep risking him and risk losing him for two or three months, or do you do the sensible thing and rest him for maybe two games and get him cleared up?" he said.
"But the side we put out [at Newport] and the people we had on the bench were ok to go and change games.
"If we have got 12 or 13 people who can influence a game then that would be great," he added.

City lost 1-0 at Newport in the first meeting on Boxing Day but, despite the financial problems that have led to his reduced squad, Dryden remains optimistic that his players can exact revenge at St George's Lane.
"The performance at Newport was OK. We started slowly but we should have got something from the game," he said.
"In the paper down there it said 'Newport relive the Alamo' and I think that was probably about right.
"But I'm looking forward to it as I was disappointed to get beaten."
