Luke Beckett has joined Gainsborough until the end of the season
Gainsborough Trinity ended a run of four games without a goal as they won 3-0 at Harrogate Town in Blue Square North on Saturday.
Lewis McMahon put Trinity ahead after six minutes, turning in a shot from debutant Luke Beckett.
Beckett also provided the cross for Matt Austin's 76th-minute header before adding the third a minute from time.
Beckett told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Everybody did brilliantly today. We took a good team to pieces."
The match was Beckett's first in over six months, after joining Trinity until the end of the season following being released by League One Huddersfield.
He admitted that the drop of three divisions had been something of a culture shock.
"I didn't know I had to bring my own towel for the shower so I had to borrow one," said Beckett.
"But the standard of football is good and I couldn't have enjoyed it any more.
"It's the right move for me and hopefully it will kick-start my season," he added.
Trinity also handed a debut to teenage goalkeeper Aaron Jameson, who joined the club on a hastily arranged one-month loan from Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday morning.
Jameson was required following a freak injury to Gainsborough's regular keeper Adam Sollitt, who hurt his back lifting his baby son out of his cot.
Manager Steve Charles said: "Adam rang me on Saturday morning to say he'd put his back out and wasn't fit to play.
"I had a contingency plan if that ever happened and it proved to be fruitful."
