Richard Dryden feels City are playing good football but not getting the results
Worcester City slipped to their fifth home defeat of the season, going down 1-0 at home to Blue Square South leaders Chelmsford City.
But Worcester's manager Richard Dryden insisted that his side might easily have taken a point.
"I'm still scratching my head as to how we haven't got something from it," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester
"It was heartening as we've been in there, but that's three or four on the bounce now we've been beaten."
The City manager was clearly concerned by his side's recent poor form, but said it would be easy to over-react after what had been a battling performance against a very strong Chelmsford outfit.
"The strange thing is that I feel pretty proud about how they have done, but I hope that is not a losing mentality that I am getting," he said.
"From the Welling game at home, we built on that performance to the Wimbledon game which wasn't too bad apart from the goals.
"Today I thought we were decent but one bit of magic split us open."
Ollie Berquez scored the only goal of the game 10 minutes before the interval after a neat move on the edge of the area.
Dryden admitted that boardroom battles at St George's Lane have clearly been a distraction in recent times, so he is glad that the club's AGM appears to have finally resolved this issue.
"I think everybody around the club wants to draw a line underneath it," he said. "It's been going on since I've been here.
"I just want to concentrate on the football side. I haven't really gone into the finer points of the ins and outs of it.
"I've just been trying to concentrate on this and, while the results haven't been great, this was one of our better performances at home."
