Former Tamworth assistant Dryden joined Worcester a year ago

Worcester City manager Richard Dryden and assistant Carl Heeley have signed new contracts at St George's Lane.

Dryden, who replaced Andy Preece a year ago, has signed up until the end of the 2009/10 season.

The 39-year-old former Birmingham defender's present deal was due to expire at the end of this season.

He led the team to 12th place in Blue Square North last season, and they are currently sitting 11th in the Blue Square South table.

Worcester host league leaders Chelmsford on Saturday, and there will be coverage on BBC Hereford and Worcester in Action Saturday.
