Aspin's side slip up at Hinckley

Town's defeat at Hinckley was their first loss in five games

Harrogate Town boss Neil Aspin conceded his side were "not at their best" after losing 2-0 at Hinckley to slip back to third in Blue Square North.

An Adam Webster penalty and an Aaron Moses-Wright strike did the damage.

"It does come down to referees' decisions," said Aspin on the Hinckley spot-kick award and the penalty claim for handball that Town had turned down.

"I can't dwell on that. We've just got to make sure that we're better in the next game."

He added: "I don't think it was a bad performance but it certainly wasn't one of our best."

Tamworth have now pulled four points clear at the top and Aspin said: "No doubt they're going to be a difficult team to catch, but we can only concentrate on ourselves.

"We've had a few injuries and suspensions, we're a bit thin on the ground, but the players have got to raise their game.

"Matty Young had a really bad hamstring tear, so it's still going to be another three weeks before he can play, and Danny Holland, probably another four weeks."

Striker James Dean has now completed his three-match suspension and should be available for Saturday's game at Gateshead in the FA Trophy third qualifying round.

"It would be nice to have a cup run, we've got a terrible record in the Trophy, probably the worst of any club, but it's not an easy tie," Aspin added.
