Muirhead was released by Rochdale last season

Alfreton Town have given forward Ben Muirhead a new one-year contract.

The 25-year-old joined the Reds at the start of the season after being released by Rochdale.

The former Manchester United trainee has made an impressive start for the club and was man-of-the-match in the 2-0 win over Burscough on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Kyle Sutcliffe has also rejoined Alfreton on non-contract terms and it is understood the club has made an approach for an unnamed striker.
