Alfreton Town have been knocked out of the Setanta Shield at the first hurdle after a 3-2 defeat to Stafford Rangers.
The Reds had a man sent off for a second game in a row as Tony Butler was dismissed for a professional foul on Rangers striker Nick Wellecomme.
And it was Wellecomme who went on to score the winning goal for the visitors on the 73rd minute.
The defeat ends Alfreton's unbeaten run of six matches. The Reds are away at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
