Jack Defty saved the day with King's Lynn's equaliser
King's Lynn rescued a point at Alfreton for their fourth draw in four Blue Square North games this season.
The home side took the lead after five minutes of the second half thanks to Brian Cusworth's towering header.
It took King's Lynn just four minutes to reply, when Jack Defty turned and shot from a tight angle two yards from goal after Ben Sedgemore's high ball.
King's Lynn skipper Greg Crane faces a suspension after receiving a straight red card eight minutes from time.
You can say goals change games, but referees' decisions change them too
Keith Webb
Linnets manager Keith Webb was pleased to come away with another point from a tough encounter.
"We were under no illusions how tough the game was going to be today, but I thought our players adapted well, put a shift in and I've got nothing but praise for them," he said.
Webb was also convinced that his skipper Greg Crane's sending off hampered their push to win the game.
"You can say goals change games, but referees' decisions change them too. They've got a terribly difficult job to do, but sometimes they don't help themselves.
"If I go on about it I'll say something I'll probably regret, and I'm not going to do that," he added.
