Pattison initially joined Norwich on loan in November last year
Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder has called Matty Pattison's performance against Cardiff City on Saturday his best for the club "by a mile".
The midfielder, 21, cleared a late header off the line in the 2-2 draw.
Roeder said: "He was outstanding from start to finish. He always plays well in parts of games - he is young and inexperienced so that is expected.
"But he had his best 90 minutes for Norwich City by a mile. I am very pleased for him as he is a lovely lad."
Pattison, who joined Norwich from Newcastle earlier this year, told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Wherever I play I'm happy. I enjoyed playing on the right then the gaffer changed me over to the left in the second-half which I enjoyed as well.
It is a massive result which shows the character of the lads

"I do like attacking even when I play in the middle but I haven't been doing it as much for Norwich. I'm just glad to be playing in the first eleven and hopefully I can keep performing well."
City battled back from two goals down with 15 minutes to play as substitute Arturo Lupoli's double earned a valuable draw.
The South African believes Saturday's result will help kick-start Norwich's season.
"Coming back from 2-0 down is hard to do. It's a massive result which shows the character of the lads. We're buzzing now for the next game against Birmingham."
