Redditch United's manager Gary Whild praised his team's second-half showing in the 1-1 draw at Tamworth.
He told BBC Hereford and Worcester he is convinced their first Blue Square North win is just around the corner.
"If we had won one of our away games and done what we have done away from home, we would have had a brilliant start," said Whild.
"But I've told the lads if they keep doing what they did in the second half that win will soon come."
The Reds were well off the pace for much of the first period and could have had few complaints when the Lambs took the lead through the former Hereford United and Kidderminster Harriers player Gareth Sheldon on 20 minutes.
Whild admitted that he had once again had to impart a few home truths to his side during the interval, but it seemed to have the desired effect as Redditch stepped up their performance in the second half.
They created a number of good chances before eventually getting back on level terms when Owen Storey netted in the 76th minute.
In the first 25 minutes or so they could really have put the game beyond us
Reds boss Gary Whild
Storey ran on to an excellent through ball from the Reds' skipper Lee Downes and then kept his cool to beat the Tamworth keeper and earn his side a third successive 1-1 draw away from home.
Whild knows Tamworth could have been out of sight before his side really got going.
"In the first 25 minutes or so they could really have put the game beyond us," said Whild.
"But there were a few raised voices and changes in personnel at half-time and anybody here in the second half would have had to agree that there was only one team in it, and we deserved the point," he added.
Redditch are yet to register a point or even score a goal at home this season, but will have another chance to give the Valley Stadium supporters something to shout about on Saturday 30 August when they entertain Farsley Celtic.
BBC Hereford and Worcester will carry regular reports on the Reds' progress in that match into Sport on Saturday with Trevor Owens from 1400BST.
