Nicky Law's men have shipped seven goals in three league games
Alfreton boss Nicky Law vows to make changes against King's Lynn on Saturday after Sunday's 3-0 defeat at Gateshead.
Law told BBC Sport: "I don't know if it was complacency or we got lost in the hype of everybody saying what a good squad we've got.
"It is a hiccup and has identified problems that were there but hadn't really come to the fore.
"To be successful at this level you have to play in a certain way and we didn't do that on Sunday."
Law added: "We missed a penalty at 1-0 down and, had we got that, I think we could have got something.
"But we were well beaten and were never at the races from start to finish."
After opening the season with a last-minute 3-2 win at home to Hyde United, Law's men then came from two down to draw 2-2 at Solihull Moors last Tuesday night before Sunday's heavy reverse.
