Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has said the Reds are in great shape for the new season.

He told the club website: "We look a decent side, fit, powerful and we have played some good football

"I know you don't get any league points for what you have done in pre-season and it is what we do Saturday and beyond that matters now."

The Reds begin the new Blue Square North season with a home game against Hyde United on Saturday.

Law said: "The strength of the squad is as good as we can expect at this stage but we are still looking to add to it if players who can improve it become available."
