Chesterfield have completed the signing of defender Alan Goodall from Luton Town on a two-year-deal.
The 26-year-old has played in pre-season friendlies for the Spireites during his spell on trial.
Goodall started his career with Bangor City and spent three years at Rochdale before joining Luton in June 2007.
The club has confirmed that Goodall will be in the squad to face Barnet at Underhill in Saturday's opening match of the League Two season.
