Chesterfield have been given the go-ahead to build their new stadium.

Chesterfield Borough Council has been given formal planning consent to develop the Spireites' new home on the Dema Glass site at Whittington Moor.

The Government has decided it did not need to "call in" the planning application for consideration.

Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Hazel Blears has said the proposals for are in line with national and regional policy.
