Chesterfield's planning application for a new 10,000 seater stadium will go before the borough council's planning committee on Tuesday 1 July.
The open meeting will address the proposed development at the former Demaglass site in Whittington Moor.
But admission is ticket-only due to the high level of public interest.
The council say that people can attend the meeting as observers only, unless they have made comments in writing as part of the consultation process.
Applications for free tickets, for the Winding Wheel conference centre meeting, can be made by post (enclosing a stamped addressed envelope) or in person to: Planning Reception, Chesterfield Borough Council, Town Hall, Chesterfield S40 1LP from Monday 16 June at 0900 BST.
