Alfreton Town boss Nicky Law has taken his number of summer signings to ten by completing loan deals for Stoke City duo Jimmy Phillips and Marc Grocott.

Left winger Phillips and central midfielder Grocott, both 19, have joined the Reds on initial three-month loan periods.

The pair signed one-year professional forms with the Potters in May and are regulars at academy and reserve level.

Meanwhile, Alfreton beat Macclesfield 2-1 in a pre-season game on Thursday.
