Fortune-West spent time on loan at York last season
Alfreton Town have completed the signing of towering striker Leo Fortune-West on a one-year deal.
The former Doncaster, Cardiff and Rotherham forward, 37, was released by Cambridge at the end of the season and is Town's sixth new face of the summer.
Boss Nicky Law described the deal as a "major signing" and added: "I'm pleased to get someone of Leo's calibre.
"He is big and strong. He has scored goals at every level he has been at and has a wealth of experience."
The much-travelled striker, who has commanded transfer fees of around 400,000 during his career, appeared as a substitute in Cambridge's play-off final defeat against Exeter at Wembley in May.

And he also had a spell on loan at York City last season.
"He has had a lot of interest from other clubs including three in the Conference Premier Division but geographically some of them didn't suit him at this stage of his career," Law said.
"We have fought off competition from other clubs to get his signature and we are delighted to have come out on top and done it."
Law's son Josh also provided the club with a huge boost when he signed his one-year contract on Tuesday.
Law, 18, had agreed terms a fortnight ago and finally committed himself to a second season with the Reds.
His father said: "I am not saying it just because he is my lad but he is an excellent signing."
