Cambridge boss Jimmy Quinn praised the attitude of striker Leo Fortune-West who came on as a substitute in Friday's 2-1 win against Burton. Quinn said: "I don't like singling people out but big Leo has been example for all the kids in the club.
"He comes in and works his socks off every day and when he's asked to go on he goes on and makes a big difference.
"But I was pleased the whole team and with the way we came back from a goal down which shows our character."
Cambridge signed Accrington midfielder Paul Carden, 28, on loan until 1 January, just before Thursday's deadline. He made his debut for the U's against Burton.
