Cambridge seal Fortune-West deal
Leo Fortune-West
Fortune-West has scored nearly 100 league goals for 10 clubs
Veteran striker Leo-Fortune West has signed a one-year deal with Cambridge United after passing a medical.

The 36-year-old front man left Rushden & Diamonds by mutual consent on Friday, and impressed in the U's friendly against Leicester on Monday.

"It's great news, especially with Daniel Chillingworth being injured on Monday and out for several weeks," boss Jimmy Quinn told the club website.

"Leo is a good pro, he's fit and lean and he's looked after himself."

Meanwhile, Cambridge have failed to sign Barnet forward Liam Hatch.

The 25-year-old recently had his name circulated after he rejected the Bees' offer of a new deal - but Barnet have said he will not be joining Cambridge.
