Defender Mark Barnard has left Alfreton for Unibond League Division One South side Belper Town.

The 32-year-old had made 53 appearances for Blue Square North side Alfreton following his 2005 switch.

Barnard, who began his career at Rotherham United, had a brief one-match stint with the Nailers in 2003.

The former Doncaster Rovers player impressed Belper when he appeared in a pre-season friendly against Matlock Town on Saturday.
