Derby County manager Paul Jewell says he has been inspired by his side's 3-1 win over Lincoln in the Carling Cup.
He told BBC Radio Derby: "Only time will tell but I think we've turned a bit of a corner.
"One win isn't going to make a massive amount of difference but it could be a springboard and you can see the relief in the players in the dressing room."
Tuesday night's victory was Jewell's first win at Pride Park since he took charge of the Rams in November 2007.
He said: "We created a lot of opportunities and showed a bit of character when we were 1-0 down but being there was a bitter pill to swallow.
"I thought we were the better team throughout the game but there's still got lots to do to get better.
"They worked ever so hard, so credit to Lincoln."
Striker Nathan Ellington scored a hat-trick to give the Rams a victory after extra-time.
