Boston United's first game of the season at Nantwich Town in the Unibond Premier League has been postponed because of an unfit pitch.

The Cheshire club have relaid the pitch at the Weaver Stadium over the summer but it will not be ready for 16 August.

A request from Nantwich to have the game played at the Pilgrims' York Street ground has been rejected by Unibond League officials.

The match will now be played on the evening of Tuesday, 24 March 2009.
