Sinclair has played more than 500 games in his career

Lincoln City's veteran defender Frank Sinclair will given the chance to assist the club's coaching staff in the coming season.

As well as playing Sinclair, 36, will occasionally work alongside Peter Jackson, Iffy Onuora and Grant Brown.

He made his touchline debut in the Imps' friendly at Retford on Tuesday.

Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "He's got the experience and the knowledge, now he gets a little more responsibility but it's a big step up."
