Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson has said he beat off interest from Wycombe and Brighton to sign Frank Sinclair.
The former Chelsea defender became the Imps' sixth summer signing on Monday joining Scott Oakes, Janos Kovacs, Dave Graham, Aaron Brown and Rob Burch.
Peter Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "He has turned down Micky Adams and Peter Taylor to sign for me.
"On and off the field Frank will be important with his determination, his personality and his will to win."
Jackson added: "He will demand, as I will demand, the best out of my players and he will certainly bring that out of them."
And Sinclair said he is looking forward to working with Jackson: "I worked with him before, I know how the man works and his ethics of the game.
"One of the main things with me is to help the club get promoted."
