Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson is in talks with former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair about joining the Imps.
At Thursday's meeting of season ticket holders, the Imps boss also revealed defender Nat Brown had left the club by mutual consent.
Sinclair began his career at Chelsea and had spells at Leicester City, Burnley and Huddersfield Town.
The 36-year-old's career has included two League Cup wins, one FA Cup win and an appearance in the 1998 World Cup.
