Boston United were beaten 1-0 at York Street by East Stirlingshire in their first home game of the pre-season.

The game's only goal came just seconds after kick-off when Mark McKenzie took advantage of a defensive slip to score.

Boston manager Tommy Taylor told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The first 15 seconds weren't very good, but after that we settled into the game.

"In the second half we had four or five chances but we didn't score, but it was a good pre-season game for us."
