Blue Square South club.
Dryden told BBC Hereford and Worcester he is solely focused on ensuring City are competitive for next season.
"Towards the end of last season I probably let it get to me and I shouldn't have," he admitted.
"I've learnt my lesson from that and, if I can stay as far away from that as possible, I'll be a lot happier."
The current City board has been challenged to call an EGM by a seven-strong consortium that is looking to assume control at St George's Lane.
Richard Dryden is well aware of what is going on behind the scenes but he is concentrating solely on his search for new players as he builds towards what will be the club's debut season in Blue Square South.
He is hoping to be able to reveal at least one more new signing within the next week.
"Pre-season starts for us on Tuesday and maybe we will have some news before then or a day or two after as we're very close," he said.
"These things can sometimes take a bit longer than you hope for but I'm a long way down the line with two or three more, so fingers crossed."
Earlier in the summer City were linked with the former Derby County striker Paul Peschisolido and Dryden has not ruled out developments in that area.

Richard Dryden on his efforts to sign Paul Peschisolido
"I know Paul well and I don't want to keep on his case like I do with some players," said Dryden.
"I take it that he is pretty financially secure and if he comes it will be totally for football reasons.
"If he wants to come and play he'll give me a phone call - I know what he's like as a person and I've tried to sell the club to him.
"If he does come we shall then have to sit down and try and sort out a package with him. Ideally it wouldn't come off the package and we could find someone who would like to sponsor him."
