Fleetwood midfielder Jamie Milligan has signed a new three-year contract with the Blue Square North side.
The former Everton and Blackpool man, 28, ended the season as top scorer with 21 goals as Fleetwood secured promotion from the Unibond Premier Division.
And Fleetwood chairman Andy Pilley has wasted no time rewarding the player.
"A three-year contract at this level isn't too common," said Pilley. "But it's a reflection of the qualities and attributes Jamie brings to the club."
Pilley added: "I'm very confident that he will be one of the best players in the Conference North next season.
"He is an essential part of what we are building at Fleetwood. That is a team that can press on and challenge in our new league.
We want to take our time and ensure we bring in the very best players who will make a strong impact at the club

Milligan revealed: "I had a year left on my contract. And Andy Pilley told me during the season that, if I produced the goods, then we'd sit down and talk about a longer contract.
"The age I'm at now means this is the peak time of my career. I know when I'm fit that I can put in performances up there with the best in the league.
"Fitness is something I take seriously. I've just got a personal trainer for two days a week. Add that to training on my own and it will keep me ticking over during the summer," added the Blackpool-born player.
Pilley is also keen to wrap up deals for new players, although he believes it is essential that they have the right qualities to take the club forward.
"We expect a flurry of activity in the next few weeks," he said. "Rushing in isn't something that we will do.
"We want to take our time and ensure we bring in the very best players who will make a strong impact at the club.
"Jamie's contract can be seen as a statement of intent and another indication of how ambitious we are at Fleetwood Town."
