Cameroon giants on verge of collapse
Cintra Yaounde
Cintra Yaounde were bought out in November 2000
Cameroon division one club Cintra Yaounde are facing financial disaster after their Spanish owners, Constellacio Esportiva SL, suspended their contract with the club with immediate effect.

The news means Cintra have no money to continue in the league.

Constellacio bought the club from previous owner Hans Njinou in November 2000, although Njinou remained as honorary president.

But last month Njinou intervened to stop Constellacio transferring top player Serge Sontsa to Italy.

Constellacio have reacted by announcing the suspension of funds to Cintra.

Arbitration

It is not the first time Njinou has clashed with the club's owners.

Last year the two parties were in dispute over Njinou's claims Constellacio were delaying payments to him.

The issue was only resolved in January 2002, when the FA appointed an arbitration committee to resolve the crisis.

The committee found both parties guilty of not respecting their agreement.

In its two years of owning the club, Constellacio has spent nearly 500.000 dollars on Cintra, according to the manager Marcilio Vitorlano.
