McCarthy priced out of Porto
Benni McCarthy
McCarthy did not fit in well at Celta Vigo
Benni McCarthy will not be able to make his loan move to Porto permanent unless Celta Vigo lower their demands for him.

The Spanish side want 8 million for him, but Porto coach Jose Mourinho says that price is out of his range.

"We want to sign him, but the price is very high," he said.

Porto's option to sign McCarthy runs out on 15 May.

McCarthy struggled to find his best form in Spain, but since he began his loan spell in Portugal he has excelled.

And he is keen to stay, having credited Mourinho with bringing out the best in him.
