Results: World Cup qualifiers
All the action from Sunday 4 July's 2006 World Cup qualifiers, as it happens.

Sunday's fixtures:

RESULT: Congo 1-0 Mali, in Brazzaville, Group One
RESULT : Cameroon 2-0 Ivory Coast, in Yaounde, Group Three
RESULT: Benin 3-3 Egypt, in Cotonou, Group Three
RESULT: Liberia 0-0 Togo, in Monrovia, Group One

1800 GMT RESULT! Liberia 0-0 Togo.

1755 GMT: Togo's Eric Akota is red carded for stamping on Alvin Kieh in the final moments of the game.

1745 GMT: The game continues to go from end to end but neither Liberia nor Togo can find an opening.

1740 GMT: Both Liberia and Togo have had chances to take the lead but it remains 0-0. James Debbah has now given in to pressure and left the pitch to be replaced by Isaac Tondo.

1727 GMT: Still goalless between Liberia and Togo but the Lone Star's James Debbah is refusing to be substituted and remains on the pitch and the fans are booing his very touch. Liberia have also come close to scoring as Francis Doe's shot is saved by the Togolese 'keeper.

1708 GMT: Liberia get the second half underway against Togo in Monrovia.

1655 GMT RESULT! Benin 3-3 Egypt. The home crowd is disappointed after having lead by two goals on two occaisions.

1649 GMT Half-time Liberia 0-0 Togo. A dull first-half ends on an exciting note as Togo's Sherif Toure shot is saved by Sunday Sieh in the Liberia goal.

1642 GMT GOAL! Benin 3-3 Egypt. Egypt's commitment shows through as Benin's defence crumple. It would not be a surprise if the Phaorohs went on to win this game now.

1637 GMT GOAL! Benin 3-2 Egypt. Benin lose their two-goal advatage again in a goal in which tiredness is clearly a factor. Egypt's speed on the ball sees them pass their way into the Benin goal.

1635 GMT RESULT! Cameroon 2-0 Ivory Coast. Late goals from Samuel Eto'o Fils and Guy Feutchine see Cameroon beat Ivory Coast.

1630 GMT: Still goalless between Liberia and Togo, the best chance so far was a feeble header from Jonah Serweh as he meets a James Debbah cross.

1628 GMT GOAL! Benin 3-1 Egypt Benin restore their advantage through Mouritala Ogoubiyi's own smart play - he dribbles round two Egyptian players and slots home as Egypt's goalkeeper dives over the ball and misses.

1626 GMT GOAL! Benin 2-1 Egypt Clever play sees Egypt halve their deficit.

1625 GMT RESULT! Congo 1-0 Mali.

1617 GMT: Egypt are trying to hit back against Benin, but are desperately struggling to avoid conceding a killer third goal at the same time. Benin are proving more than adept at the back.

1612 GMT: Ivory Coast make their first substitution, Gilles Yapi Yapo coming on for Tchiressoa Guel.

1612 GMT: Congo still lead by Mali and both sides have had opportunities to score but failed to make the most of their chances.

1610 GMT: A yellow card for Ivory Coast's Guy Demel for a foul on Samuel Eto'o Fils on the edge of the area.

1608 GMT: Egypt get the second half against Benin underway.

1605 GMT: Togo kick off against Liberia and immediatlely go on the attack but their first shot on goal is saved.

1558 GMT: It is still a tight game between Congo and Mali with neither side able to dominate.

1557 GMT: Cameroon make their second substitution, bringing on Pius Ndiefi for Mohamadou Idrissou.

1555 GMT: Guy Demel has a shot from distance for Ivory Coast, but Hamidou comfortably collects in the Cameroon goal.

1551 GMT Half-time Benin 2-0 Egypt.

1550 GMT GOAL! Benin 2-0 Egypt. Egypt's defence are caught ballwatching, and in the confusion Stephan Sessegnon pounces to put Benin two goals up in first half injury time.

1545 GMT: Cameroon call for a penality when Timothee Atouba goes down in the box, but the referee is having none of it and waves play on.

1545 GMT: The game in Brazzaville is a dull affair with Congo still leading by a single goal against Mali.

1540 GMT: Cameroon are under way again against Ivory Coast.

1540 GMT: Egypt miss a golden opportunity to equalise with a highly-controversial penalty kick. In almost a mirror of the Benin penalty, a clumsy tackle gives Egypt the chance, but the linesman had already raised his flag to give an offiside. The Nigerian referee, however, overrules him and instead gives the penalty. But the kick is saved well by Maxime Agueh, who is surrounded by Benin defenders congratulating him.

1535 GMT: Congo restart their match at home to Mali.

1524 GMT Half-time Cameroon 0-0 Ivory Coast.

1521 GMT: Cameroon get a free kick near the corner flag, but simply give it away with an awful effort.

1518 GMT Half-time Congo 1-0 Mali.

1517 GMT: The Egyptians put the ball into the Benin net, but the effort is ruled out for offside and there are few complaints.

1515 GMT: A substitution for Cameroon as Guy Feutchine comes on for Eric Djemba-Djemba. Feutchine is straight into the thick of the action, sustaining a head injury as he challenges for a header. He has some treatment on the sidelines and returns to the game sporting a bandage.

1512 GMT: The Egyptians are obviously stung by conceding the early goal to Benin, and are immediately putting pressure on the Squirrels.

1511 GMT: Dindane has another good chance, this time with a header, but again Hamidou is able to keep it out.

1510 GMT GOAL! Benin 1-0 Egypt. Benin take an early lead through a penalty after a clumsy Egyptian tackle in the box. Omar Tchomogo easy slots home from the spot.

1509 GMT: Ivory Coast have a great chance to break the deadlock, but Dindane's kick inside the area goes into Hamidou's hands.

1504 GMT:Benin kick off against Egypt. The attendence at the match is obviously very low - particularly in comparison with Benin's last home game - with sparsely-populated stands around the pitch, perhaps refelcting a loss of confidence currently affecting Benin's football.

1503 GMT: The match in Yaounde has become very flat, with both the Ivory Coast and Cameroon resorting to long balls from the back that are being easily picked up by the defenders.

1500 GMT GOAL! Congo 1-0 Mali: Oscar Mamouna picks up a long ball from his own 'keeper and fires home at the other end past the Mali 'keeper.

1451 GMT: Cameroon have their best effort so far when Timothee Atouba connects with a free kick whipped in by Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe, but it is pushed over by the Ivory Coast's Jean-Jacques Tizie for a corner which comes to nothing.

1450 GMT: It is still goalless between Congo and Mali but the visitors are now having the better of the game and Mahamadou Diarra misses the best chance of the game so far.

1443 GMT: Aruna Dindane has a header from inside the box for Ivory Coast but it is straight into Soulyeymanou Hamidou's hands.

1442 GMT: Neither Congo nor Mali are able to get control during the early part of their match.

1435 GMT: Cameroon kick off the game against the Ivory Coast to a roar of approval from the home crowd.

1433 GMT:Cameroon and the Ivory Coast are ready to start their Group Three match in front of 75,000 fans in Yaounde.

1430 GMT:Mali get the match in Brazzaville underway against Congo in Group One.
