Caf will here the case against Enyimba on 7 and 8 June |
Caf will continue their investigations into whether Nigeria's Enyimba should lose their African Champions League title on 7 and 8 June. African football's governing body are looking into claims by Egypt's Ismaili that Enyimba used an ineligible player when they won last year's African Champions League.
Enyimba used Ahmed 'Yaro Yaro' Garba as a substitute in the second leg of the final against Ismaili of Egypt last December, where they became the first Nigerian side to win Africa's top club prize.
But the player, registered by Enyimba for the tournament, left to play for Kano Pillars during the season before returning to help Enyimba in the final once the Nigerian championship had been concluded.
Ismaili allege that the 23-year-old should not have been allowed to play in the final and are seeking to have Enyimba's victory in last December's competition declared null and void.
The case was originally heard by Caf first in the Egyptian capital Cairo in April but the discussion was postponed to allow them to "verify the authenticity" of the evidence.
The Nigerian club have denied any wrong-doing and the lack of independent evidence has made it difficult for Ismaili to prove their case.
Meanwhile, the player at the centre of the dispute is now playing for AB Copenhagen in Denmark.
